“Bank of America Customer Service is HORRIBLE!”
I have two business accounts with BOA and also a BOA credit card account with them – thinking one stop shopping... On multiple occasions, BOA credit card company has to cancel my cards because they have put my CC at risk and had to issue another card immediately. BOA did not call me but just cancel and re-issue me a new card each time. I have to call them to see why my card can’t be utilize and they always says to use the BOA Debit Card in the mean time... When a m...

“Good for nothing!! ”
This bank is awful! They tell you anything you want to hear while signing up. The checking account is completely free, we match your keep the change, and all this wonderful bs that keeps customers coming back around! What they don't tell you is that if you have an eaccount then it costs you nine dollars everytime you interact with a teller! Nine dollars to come inside and have you check cashed??? They have slapped me multiple times with random fees that I have no clue wher...
“They are not helpful. When they took over my old bank I moved most of my accounts to Citizens Bank.”
High fees. Difficult or impossible to deal with.
“BEWARE - Horrible customer service, hidden fees, and slow processing will fleece you.”
I was warned about Bank of America's horrible reputation when I opened an account in 2004 upon returning home from college. I didn't listen...
I am hoping others can learn and avoid the mistakes I made by joining. Save yourself the heartache and open up an account elsewhere. You will be glad you did.
I was on vacation and went to use my BOA credit card. I was told it was declined. After waiting on hold for several minutes, I was informe...
“Terrible Bank, lots of charges, harrassment, HUGE FEES WORLDWIDE”
$20/month/account in fees, hidden fees everywhere, I moved out of the States and it costs me more than $10/use of an ATM. Many banks are free and refund these fees. NO REASON to use BOA.
“Mortgage loan”
As a Real Estate agent I should have known better. It has been 55 days so far trying to get an okay to close. My client has done nothing to to make this loan difficult. Underwriting just cannot get there act together. How this company stays in business is beyond me. In this case my client is my son and I did most of the running around for the requriments. This was a terrible experince that has frusterated me from the beginning. BOA does not except documentation that oth...
“overdraft fees”
I just closed 3 accounts w/ BOA- I was charged $140 in overdraft fees even though my bank statement did not show a negative balance. I had 4 charges on my account that were pending, an automatic deposit was made and cleared 1 or 2 days before the 4 charges cleared. I called customer service- on hold for a long time then they were rude and no help, went to a branch and talked to the vice- president. He tried to tell me that when I made a charge on my account the money is...

“It is what it is”
I like the convenience of ATMs everywhere and have found the people working in the bank to be pleasant and helpful. I agree interest rates are low but I view this as a place to just keep ready cash NOT long term savings or investments.

“Nice Bank ”
Nice Bank
“Horrible ”
I am currently a Second year Med-School student working a full time job to pay off my credit cards. I have a protection plan with BoA since 2008 and have put well over $2,500 into it. To be honest I don't know why I signed up for it but it is a complete waste of money. I tried to apply for the academic excellence benefit and one of the requirements is submission of your GPA (3.6 or higher). I called well over 6 times explaining how my doctoral program does not use GPA grad...
